Amarillo College Student Media earned 36 awards at the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association (TIPA) convention, held March 19–21 in Denton, continuing a strong tradition of excellence in collegiate journalism.In total, AC Student Media received two Overall Excellence awards, 13 first-place awards, nine second-place awards, nine third-place awards and five honorable mentions.

Amarillo College’s FM90 will debut a new original radio show, Night Breeze, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28 bringing listeners a mix of storytelling, music, and 1980s nostalgia. Created, written, and produced by AC mass media student Evan Banner Night Breeze takes inspiration from the moody, cinematic energy of Kenny Loggins’ song “Night watch. ”The track’s dark, synth-driven tone became the creative spark for what Evan describes as a retro, atmospheric experience that feels like tuning into a mysterious late-night show from another time.
